The CHALK model integrates assessment, curriculum, and instruction. Its real-time, data-driven insights enable educators to give all students the best learning experience possible. The tools help educators understand what's working and what isn't in order to increase student achievement and teacher tenure. And by leveraging the resources of the community, CHALK helps schools avoid the common pitfalls of implementing a new technology or teaching methodology.Chalk maps the entire academic system from preschool through grade twelve, ensuring that students are learning in all areas. All elements of the system are aligned to standards within each grade level, facilitating uninterrupted academic progress. And the curriculum ensures a seamless transition from grade to grade, and from subject to subject. By leveraging data-driven insights, schools and districts are empowered to improve the quality of teaching and learning in all their schools. And thanks to its easy-to-use, online platform, Chalk has become an indispensable tool for districts across the country. The Chalk Group is a subset of the Devonian, which means that it is primarily a part of the ancient ocean. Its outcrop is marked by the Marlborough Downs, the Chiltern Hills, the Salisbury Plain, and parts of the Thames Basin. The most common outcrops are on the coast of England, where pyrite and flint nodules are found. The outcrop averages about 200 feet thick, and its fossils include brachiopod Terebratulina, echinoid Conulus, and bryozoans. The outcrop is well-known in southern England, where Beachy Head and White Cliffs of Dover are located. The UK Central Graben and the Shearwater Area Project are two key examples of this region of the Devonian. Its physiographic features include the Southampton Basin, the London Basin, and the Weald-Artois Anticline. Some of the best-known exposures of the chalk are in the Seven Sisters on the Isle of Wight and the Totternhoe Stone, and the West Melbury Marly Chalk Formation. The Gribun Chalk Formation is an excellent example of a chalk-based strata in southern England. The Gribun Chalk Formation is a Santonian formation that extends from Mons to Skye, and the Aachen Formation is a mudstone-rich, glauconiferous limestone that is similar to the English chalk. http://www.docspal.com/viewer?id=qywhryqi-19540090 Both are good sources of fossils. The gribun is the best-known in Britain, with over a dozen different species of ammonites and ferns. The South Downs are a long north-facing scarp. The Purbeck-Wight Monocline is a narrower region, with more chalk. Its south-facing scarp has little chalk. The South Downs, meanwhile, are a long south-facing ridge. The Weald-Artois Anticline is a large depression that has unroofed the Purbeck-Wight Monocline.
