First Monday Trade Days may be a known event around East Texas, but that doesn't mean that it can't keep hundreds of thousands of people from coming to downtown Canton for four days every month. The trade days are open from Thursday to Sunday in advance of the First Monday each month hundreds of vendors set up shop for shoppers with hundreds of choices. Then in 1965 First Monday outgrew the town's Town Square so it was moved to its present grounds. The rest is history... First Monday Trade Days is made up of a variety of private sellers so odds are that no matter how many times you've been to the market but you'll never actually see everything. The flea market is located on numerous acres, with more than 700,00 square feet of shopping.
