The airplane industry produces millions of dollars each year and provides thousands of jobs to thousands of people. From new airplane designs and construction to the maintenance and fuel costs associated with those designs and construction, the airplane industry is a very important part of our country's economy. However, the Federal Aviation Administration (or FAA) regulates and sets policies for the transport of commercial aircraft. Because of this the FAA takes on an enormous amount of responsibility and is arguably one of the most powerful regulatory bodies in the country. https://aircraftupdates.com/gulfstream-g700/ The purpose of the FAA is to regulate all aspects of the airplane industry, ensuring that every little detail is properly implemented to keep air traffic safe, but from an aircraft manufacturer's perspective it also serves another purpose. Airplane manufacturers rely on the safety regulations and rules set by the FAA to prevent them from manufacturing faulty airplanes and flying them into difficult terrain, or worse, into a large populated area. Without the regulations put into place by the FAA airline companies might be prevented from producing these aircraft, or at least having to pay a large fine if they did. For example if an airline caused an airplane to fly into a large city where hundreds of innocent lives could have been lost the airline could be held responsible and perhaps even sued for this accident. As you can see the importance of the regulation of the airplane industry cannot be overemphasized. https://aircraftupdates.com/cessna-citation-m2/ The other important place where the airplane industry plays a large part is at the municipal airport. Many towns and cities across the country have municipal airports that allow private aircraft to land, while maintaining certain standards and guidelines in regards to the operation of the airport. In some municipalities these local airports receive tax incentives from the federal government when they allow private aircraft to land, as well as pay for airport land surveys, repairs, etc. In some municipalities the airport will also receive money each year from a designated private aircraft owner who flies through the airport using their personal aircraft. Many cities and towns across the United States are highly dependent on the revenue generated by these private plane owners and their aviation activities.
