The key to a good first date is preparation. My grandmother always used to say “preparation is half the victory.” Not sure if that makes more sense in Spanish, but either way I started my research on Peter. He sounded rather brainy and made a few references to his summer reading list.
I had no clue about some of the references he made, so I have done a quick search on amazon.com to obtain summaries of all the books. So now I know what The Bostonians is all about. He also mentioned a few locations to where he has travelled to and where he wants to go…we both have Boston in common…but must check out the lonely planet website. I also need to have a look at the state government website. Tip 2: No one likes those awkward silences. Always have questions on information you have gathered from previous email or phone exchanges.
