Anyways, she invited me over last night and I basically layed it on the line that I wanted to be more than just friends, and she was doing the "I don't know" and stuff like that and I saw that it just wasn't happening. Perhaps there was an attraction in the beginning and me never making a move or asking her out clearly...made me where I was in the kind of limbo phase where she can lead me along and keep me as a friend for her emotional needs. I stood up to her as a man and said I like you, and I want to be more than friends and if you don't want that then I am a young guy and I can and will find plenty that do want what I want...and I should be spending time with them if you don't want what I want. Funny: she said when I was leaving...so you don't get what you want and you just leave? I said um yeah this really is going nowhere and I clearly established what I want and you aren't really giving me ANY reason to stay. I'll tell you gentlemen...it hurt to get rejected...but the sting of that was fairly short...and I feel like a LEGIT man now because I've had many situations like this girl with other girls that are unclear and I would "hope it would happen" so this was the first time I really stood up to it and did something and I'm never going to look back. From now on if I don't see potential in a friendship or usefullness of having her as a friend and I am interested I am making it clear and going forward or cutting it off. End of story. What you did was the second best thing, which is verbalizing. If I were in your situation, and she said that, I would have told her to "Come here", and if she came, I would have slowly grabbed her by the chin and just kissed her. |
